Not feeling bad about the milking the company

I remember a time when it was real embarrassment to be accused of milking the company. On the other hand, nowadays more and more people admit that they are doing it without feeling any remorse about it because they are being squeezed and taken advantage of by the company. The culture has become very bad indeed. Is it even possible to fix it anymore?

RIP (retired in place) was an insult. Now a sign of a clever employee.

It's just a job and not a career anymore

I wouldn’t recommend anyone milk anything. I still go above and beyond when needed to make sure I’m taking care of the people depending on me. I still more than earn my keep, but I don’t volunteer for things, don’t get wrapped around the axle about anything, and don’t really care. Not milking anything, didn’t quite quit, it’s just a job and a paycheck. I do what’s asked and that’s it.

I found a spare office today, closed the door and took a nap on the couch. No RTO is going to stop my afternoon nap.

I was working hard, albeit from home. Super busy every minute. Skipped meals and ordering Uber eats every night because I was working, and I do the cooking in the house. Would often go back to it after dinner for an hour or 2. That said, I loved how busy I was. Made the days fly by. I was surplussed in March. Was very shocked and sad about it, but not so much now. I’ve enjoyed my time away for the past few months and I know I will find something when I am ready.

I'll be honest. I dumped my stocks and 401k with T back in 2018. That doesn't mean I don't show up on time to do my job the best I can. I can't take anything for granted, and I'm not going to milk the corporate teet bc I know in my heart losers like j-stank will be ousted for the ruination they've caused. It's a shame that so many great people will be sacrificed while that f+ucker ensures his "locations" in CA are protected before the others. He must be ousted and everyone knows it!

My role with this company couldn't be easier! I do actual work about 15-20 per week and my own thing the rest of the time. Why would I walk away from this cake walk? I'm milking this cow for as long as I can without any sense of guilt whatsoever! I sleep very well at night!

The reality is that the OP and people like them are the reason why the company feels that they can get by with half of the employees. It is hard to argue with them when you read these type of posts.

I'll admit it. I'm going to quiet quit for ad long and ad I can. Maybe take some family medical leave right before I have to go. The short at&t stock as people are forced to dump it

Let’s be honest. You’ve probably been milking the company for some time now.

No, just following the example "leadership" has provided. I want a little slice of those billions tossed away, just a very little slice.

Didn’t you hear? Going back to the office 3-5 days and being face to face is going to fix the culture. Right?

I don’t feel guilty about it at all. No matter how much extra OT we get, we’ll never even come close to the tens of billions this company has blown over the past few years. Take this company for every last nickel and don’t every feel sorry for it.

It’s all about money…I know my value, if they’re trying to sc--w me, why would I feel bad about milking the company and taking advantage until I can find another position?

They say it’s just business, I say it’s just business.
They’re worried about what’s best for the company, I’m worried about what’s best for me.
Why have loyalty to them when they don’t have any loyalty to me?
If they want to retain me, they can pay me to move…if not, then I’ll do what I gotta do.

Stankey, Stevenson, Executives, and The Board are not only milking it but they are filling that milk with Godiva Chocolate Syrup. I will milk this rotting carcass for as long as possible after the drivel I heard today from Team Robertson.
