Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hub locations

Once the company has consolidated, the overhead office space in non hub cities will be sold. As far as Stanley’s vision is concerned he sold that line when he was a proponent of the DTV and TW merger deals.

His only option now is streamline the company and play catch up or break it up and sell it off piece meal.

Off loading the pension to an insurance company was the first step.

The only M&A deals that will happen is that AT&T will be taken over. The company is on no position for any major acquisitions!!

Speak for yourself, I’m not driving to MT just because there aren’t enough chairs in Bedminster. And it’s more like an hour, not 30-40 min, and that’s with normal traffic, no rain. Lemme add another 40 miles (one way) to get to the office, No thank you!

There are a lot of private offices in Middletown what are you talking about? They aso have collaboration zones and hoteling areas with all areas usable at MT. From 5 building now most folks are in (3), A, B and C Building, Bedminster has been cosolidated and one smaller site off Route 202. It is approx 30-40 min to MT so those of us in Bedminster if need be can go to MT.

Listen folks, nobody is buying commercial real estate anymore. If a building or campus happens to sell, it was sold for a song and a dance.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

Bedminster is closing & a small satellite office will open, certainly not enough for what Stinky thinks can be housed.
Middletown has been dismantled, labs consolidated, very few private offices left. Skeleton cleaning crew, no monitors, cables, or phones left anywhere. Out of 5 buildings perhaps one is usable.
In 2 years both will be empty.

att owns strategic valuable real estate locations that they can sell for a profit.

50 cents on the dollar, dream on. They will be lucky to get 25 cents on the dollar, some locations 10 cents on the dollar. No joke.

50 cents on the dollar will be accepted to unload them. They have to be unloaded to sell the company. The structures are well built and could be converted to condos.

You realize they have been chopping this company up for parts the last 2 years, right? And it will continue….more to come.

“ Considering how outdated and dirty every old AT&T building is, it’s going to be even harder for them to get much back on the real estate.”

T should look into selling their older buildings to state and city governments. They could be used as an additional option for homeless shelter lodging.

$.50 on the dollar is consistent with how T operates. The leadership is clueless about how to make money. They are much more inclined to lose it.
I cannot believe Vanguard, Black Rock and others continue to have patience with the current leadership.

Trouble is, with commercial real estate tanking, when they sell this real estate, they might get 50¢ on the dollar for it.
