Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

FIVE Hubs

Washington DC is not one of the FIVE hubs. Will Legg get rid of all DC offices? There's a lot of gov't business there, wouldn't that be stupid?

The caveat to all of this, it falls under “needs of the business.” So what that means is even if you live near a hub (which might be different for each team) doesn’t mean you’re safe. It’s about where the job is or where your team is located. For example if you’re in Atlanta, but your bosses and most of your team is in Dallas, guess what, you might get asked to move anyways.

Public sector is under Mcfreshy not Legg. So even though Legg wants to consolidate to a smaller subset of the hubs, that has no impact on what public sector is doing.

As for DC, they might mean "all" beltway locations are included in "DC". They also might say that because many of those locations support government contracts, they are customer facing and are all exempt from this just as phone center stores aren't part of this hub concept. Would need someone from public sector meetings to comment more.

Don't be shy! Stankey wants to cut 65K employees. Leaving about 85K to run the business.

Upper case A is for America T&T, all moving jobs to India or Israel...who cares about hubs. That is an excuse. Then they want tax breaks and also incentives too from America.

Jeremy Legg sent out a separate emails stating that ATS will eventually have all teams in only these following locations: Dallas, Atlanta, Middletown/Bedminster, and Seattle.

This is what sparked that first question.

I’m convinced most of the employees who post here have zero comprehension or reading skills. What a workforce we have.

The company as a whole will have 9 hubs. ATO - Legg org as a subset of that will have 5 of the 9 hubs. So if you roll up to Legg, workplace options are the 5 hubs he mentioned in his email today.

You got it all wrong Leroy.

Nine hubs:
Dallas
Atlanta
Seattle
Bedminster
Middletown
St Louis

  1. DC

Los Angeles
San Ramon

I would recommend re-reading the new RTO policy, you won't regret it!

Washington DC was clearly call out as a hub location in the one email received. It might have been from Sambar.

You think logic was used in this decision? It’s all about numbers. Have to go down 15,000 heads this year and twice as much in the following two years if Stanky is still around.
