Wells Fargo next bank to fail

https://www.cnbc.com/2023/05/16/cramer-calls-wells-fargo-the-best-capitalized-bank-.html

Jim Cramer is saying we are the best capitalized. Sell, sell, sell, we are doomed.

The inverse of whatever he says is usually the case - not good for Wells Fargo.

Great posts and thoughts guys.

What’s odd about this is the idea of investors evaluating a bank on financial strength?

That doesn’t sit right with me. We need to be focusing on DEI and how much Lizard likes us. Financial strength and responsible lending are concepts that don’t matter in today’s economy.

Cramer had his head up Bob Steele’s ar$e when Steele became the new CEO of Wachovia in July 2008. In September, 2008 Cramer had Steele on Mad Money and recommended the stock to his viewers at $9 per share. Two weeks later, the FDIC seized control of Wachovia. And Bob Steele, the new CEO of Wachovia misled the public regarding the amount of bad debt held by the bank. (Bob Steele now says he was not aware of the bad debt.)

So - don’t believe everything you read/hear.

For those not in the know, whatever Kramer says, do the opposite! He also praised SVB a couple of months before the crash.

Wells Fargo is the iron bank. Just look at the insane over the top abuse this bank takes, 99% of companies would have died, that says a lot. Look at our credit loss bps, lowest of any bank out there. Thanks in part to the asset cap the loans on our books are spectacular.
