Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Most of World employees

This announcement today focuses on US-based employees but I haven’t seen any news on how Badged employees around the world are being treated. I can’t imagine that is a growth area for the business and I know some countries employment laws are very complex so where is the company’s focus with these employees?

Not only that, but many of our international locations have a lower cost of living, so wages are a fraction compared to domestic US. Plus, there's a lot of competition overseas for people with high technical skills.

Most countries have much better employee protection laws and processes. Why would the company want to spend efforts fighting them when US based workers are an easier target. This is nothing new. International employees are seldom affected.

There is a communication out for international employees, but my boss was focusing on the domestic employees he hadn't read it yet.

MOW employees get treated better than those from the U.S.
Because of this latest demand to drive into work, I guarantee that more jobs will go overseas.
Sad but true!
