That's an interesting switch up.

Very shortly, techies will begin to appreciate Saul. You never know what you have until it is gone.
Congratulations Saul. Thank you sir for your service.
Too much stagecoach commotion for MM, that is what was going on IMHO. Bolting with a nice recent promotion and retirement funds. Never had any issues with her.
@2ela+1m7PzwWA You are disgusting.
@1kic+1m7PzwWA There isn't much that's really changed since Saul came on board. It's still ridiculously a pain to get many things done. yeah, layoffs and getting span of control has been done. But so what? Moving to the cloud is absurdly slow. We've had all this hype about Cloud certification and last year we were in the mid 30's instead of 50%+. And good fking luck actually putting those skills to use. A lot of hiring/postings are asking for x+ years of cloud experience. Again, good fking luck getting those roles if you've been with the company for a few years.
@rob+1m7PzwWA Did you just start working in corp. America? I'm just saying that's how things work. You don't get to c-suite exec levels by being a Sr. Manager and posting for it. It's a good old boy/girl network and any exec level leader is either in the succession planning chain or not (in which case they're poached for another exec role elsewhere).
TK being put in her new role was not an accident. There are strengths she has that are needed in that role to accomplish vital and important duties. SVB was moved into that new role because of what his strengths are needed for that role. What was lacking in those roles previously that both these super heroes will fulfill is the question? No one is perfect in every aspect but they are there because a specific ability is required.
Mack was a derp but SVB is no better.
I just can't imagine how anyone could think putting him in charge of anything is a good idea. I mean, he does a good "schmooze" and is great at avoiding the hard questions, so I guess he's got that going for him. Is he based in NYC as well?
Now there is a class I wouldn't kind sitting in on...
As a part of DEI, Kerrins is starting
Cheer Leading classes at Brevard office in CLT
@lig+1m7PzwWA ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Did the small businnesses that banked with SVB and regional banks transferred their moneys to WFC? If not, I am guessing that this arm of WFC is the next to go caput. But first, let me have a zip of my coffee.
The take is "schaa-WING!"
Charlie initially “unconsciously” surrounds himself with privileged white men in the bank’s upper ranks. ✔️
Those privileged white men get promoted without ever having to compete with internal or external candidates. ✔️
Because the more important your role, the less important it is to make sure we have the best professional for the job? ✔️
That solves the problem of Charlie’s biases regarding the limited talent pool of minority executives. ✔️
And the ‘Ol Boys Club continues, even in 2023. ✔️
What's the take on TK, Saul's replacement? She has a lot of "transformation" all over her LinkedIn page, which usually means sent jobs to India and "transformed" org.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my rhetorical questions. 😂
I have no doubt that SVB is the absolute best candidate for the job and there would have been no higher - qualified candidate available anywhere in the country.
I don’t question promoting from within. I support it.
I do question bs policies which don’t apply to those who set the bs policies.
I'm sure SVB has extensive knowledge about credit risk, lending, operations, fraud, and compliance. All good .....
@mlf+1m7PzwWA Avid - totally remember. Where are they now?!
@ ncj+1m7PzwWA. Of course that was not the process that was followed. A SIFI isn’t supposed to post openings at that level, they are required to have a talent pipeline and succession plans at OC level. The stage was set for this four years ago when Saul was hired. Anyone hired at OC level or OC +1 is a strategic hire to strengthen the bench.
We're not team members even though we are literally placed in teams and use a program called Teams to communicate with our software-defined "teams".
This management non-team is amazing.
I just watched Sauls video and he said “It’s a team sport is another learning.” Close captioning was on and team sport was changed to THEME sport.
I’m sure CS was yelling “We are not teams”
- Did Saul have to interview for the job???
- Were half the candidates interviewed female or nonwhite??
- Were candidates from outside given the opportunity to interview?? Yes - even though there is a very limited pool of non-privileged non- white non-men to recruit from.
- Was the panel of people interviewing candidates diverse??
What? Wells Fargo executives don’t have to follow the same firm policies as the peons???
That’s interesting.
What does being a technologist have to anything about running a lending and deposits business…
"It’s common for execs to round out their resume with business and tech roles."
I'm so glad that our recent execs have a path to promotion in the bank (sorry, the Firm).
I wouldn't want them to feel discouraged and feel they don't have any path forward to further their careers like the rest of us.
Ok, I will stop complaining about Saul... after I take this sip of coffee. ;)
All you tech folks can now stop complaining about Saul on this board.
@hns+1m7PzwWA thank you! lol, I knew it started with an "A"
remembering her shuffle from tech to consumer and then.....right out the door.......
We have returned to the old school wf model where unqualified people are installed to run key functions and businesses. You’ll recall this happened a lot under pre chuckle’s regime. Now, with this move plus kleber, a DEI guy, running consumer lending, it’s arguably more negligent than predecessor’s.
It’s hilarious reading all the comments and the collective bi--hing.
IMO Saul moving is another grooming move. It’s common for execs to round out their resume with business and tech roles. In my old company decades ago I saw a guy move around the ranks and end up at CEO. Didn’t seem to work for Avid but that’s another story
TK leading tech seems like a big stretch to me. But we’ll see.
Apparently "strong leader" for Chuckie means 'willing to fire and outsource thousands of good / productive employees on the CEOs whim'.
Is this a promotion in both role/pay for both or more of a sideways move to cover Mack's retirement in a pinch?
I'll be damned; Chuck finally did something I can support. Mary Mack is simply a horrible person...good riddance biotch.
Employee morale would be better if executives shuffled roles and no communications about it were sent out. Net result would be the same and we still would ask the same questions:
- Who's actually in charge?
- Am I getting laid off or not?
- What is the bank's strategy?
- WTF is Meets vs Exceeds?
- Etc, etc and such and such
That settles it, no one can say there aren't opportunities to advance/change roles within WF. Inspired by this news.
@znp Avid Modjtabai
Don’t be surprised if you see SVB with a toolkit on the street repairing ATMS. He knows teknalagee !
Wow what a joke? If I did not actually read it myself. Now we having Donna knows Best running tech. Bootlickers always rewarded with no regard to actual skills. Three ring clown show continues. Can't make this stuff up
the woman that I can't remember her name was head of tech and then moved to consumer or payments....anyone remember that?"
Was that the head of HR that came over to run tech and she was gone in a year or so? Abu or something.
Not gonna miss MM, but not looking forward to SVB being bland and useless on a much bigger scale.
I think when the earnings come out Friday, we will have some insight into why SVB got demoted and TK got promoted far past her ability
