It’s budgetary, money is allocated and reallocated. When it’s gone we cut. Then a new budget is made and away we go. Over and over.

Lose the majority when you cater to a very very small minority and not talking about race.

Too bad Enron didn't have workers selling cell phone and fiber service.

For a company that is supposedly going broke, it is paying a lot of workers. And investors. Even the ungrateful ones.

Stankey knows more about spending money than anyone else.

Big cash crunch at T. Please do your part to conserve cash so the CEO can just throw the cash down a rathole.

Stankey's job is to get rid of people and their pensions, pure and simple. That's why the Board keeps him. They know AT&T is a failing company and nothing can be done.

It's almost like Stankey wants at&t to fail on a grand scale. What is it with this guy? Are we out of money? Do the customers need to start paying their bills on time?

Yes, Stankey has said that AT&T financial problems are because the customers are late in their payments. HE DID SAY THAT. "leadership" that is what we have..

The talks about transformation is to keep you believing it will stop while the person next to you is shot. The network is in shambles running on fumes with end of life equipment, no experience to fix problems, and sunk costs at this point. The robots win. The equipment out lived the people.

T is not going to just go broke it has over 200 million mobility subs. Someone will take that revenue stream for pennies on the dollar. Company can fail like GM or others and eventually will crack up the union contracts and provide an out for the suitor. All part of a larger plan.

Hearing about capital spend being frozen, giving back $$ that had been allocated for Mobility network build.

They can't embargo overtime. I've been here 33 years, I've only had a few checks with no overtime, those were vacation weeks. If you want to see this company crumble, shut off all overtime. It won't take long that's for sure. I have always lived off my overtime and banked my normal wages, it will make you rich quick!

Awe come on man, this has become just another annual ritual. This too shall pass. Although I do think at&t's expenses are (and have been) exceeding our income.

The pep talks about about strengthening the cultural pillars, purpose, servant leadership, etc. are further weakened every time an initiative like this comes along with no attempt at a promised transparency. There is a transformation and that transformation is apathy among those who were the highest performers.

Been through this before. It won’t be for just a couple of weeks. Layoffs will be the next step after OT is cut off.

Travel is being halted, as well. I guess the idea is that if we spend no money the requests for service will still come in.
Hopefully someone really knows how this will workout because it’s not looking good so far.
