I would have nothing against coming to the office if the reason for it was justified. Do our bosses even care about how it affects our productivity?
Since returning to the office many of my colleagues are doing the bare minimum only and if I were them I would be worried about it.

I went into a satellite office and it was depressing with open floor seating crammed in a building corner. They want people to work in office and shouting over one another on zoom. Disgusting.
Nobody cares for the productivity, given the current scenario where so many people are looking for jobs employers just want to make life miserable for their employees, they know they can do anything and employees will comply, their tone changed when the job market changed. They want people with higher salaries to quit so that they can fill the position with cheaper resources.
I am sorry, but life is just not fair all the time. Feelings get hurt, promotions are not handed out like participation trophies, especially at Capital One! I am old, so I am sure all of the folks reading this will not agree, however, what we have here is a generation made to feel that their feelings cannot be hurt, their employer cannot give them a bad review or ask them to come to work physically, and on an on. Yeah, it sucks, but life is hard. For those who have not had to deal with any of that noise, my prediction is that you will wish you had a job, any job soon. I am probably just old though. I am ready to leave now and have just put up with all this stuff and kept my mouth shut and been disrespected as an old white man and had ONE promotion in 26 years, after 20 years at another large company, because I did not play the game. I have done great work and I would not be here if I did not. It is my fault for staying, but it all worked out for my end game. The moral of the story is, stop whining and sh!t or get off the pot! Since Capital One is mostly youngsters, I am not surprised at the preponderance of complaints that things are not my way and it is hard.
So if you work with teams in different time zones than yours. You simply avoid early or late meetings and respond the following day no big deal. Capone is doing this force employees to quit without severance or unemployment benefits. So you muck it up for Capone. Get it now?
It is sad that the Directors and above that they hired from west coast are still working remotely, they do not have meetings in the morning work only post lunch, and having the last laugh as the employees reporting to them have to commute to work, DOUBLE STANDARDS, make hybrid for everyone with no exceptions, let these people move closer to c1 offices as well.
It's their train let them do what they want.
Because so many people are commuting now their productivity will drop because they're more exhausted so blend in and shadow your coworkers and not compensate for the commute. They'd end up having to fire a lot of their 50k employees for decreased productivity. If that's what they chose to do let them.
