CRE Bankers were hit last month
Definitely heard rumors that CB was gonna get hit, no idea when tho.
I’ve literally never heard of a commercial banker getting laid off. I’m serious, literally never, unless it’s fired for cause/fraud, etc. CRE banking and CRE BANkERS always seems to glide and fly high no matter what. I suspect this’ll be the same.

Not surprising. CB currently generates 90% of its revenue from 55% of its existing loans. Anotherwords, CB is currently not getting any new loans.
Also, many of their deals are in commercial real estate which is in a severe down-cycle.
