Just like most with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, ... years "experience" at Cisco. They don't know basic programming, data structures, functional decomposition, refactoring or any other skill that's taught by the high school level these days.
If OP caused 3 hours of bug fixing for every hour of "development" they were average for many years at Cisco.

Start pushing back hard on things like this. If you don't care about continued employment here, you literally have nothing to lose.
You can get on the list fast when meeting with your manager say that you have zero interest in AI and you have no plans to use it but will instead rely on and maintain your own cognitive abilities.

( i am assuming you are just trolling... but most recent hires are just like that, no clue about the code base and fix one and break other, stupid fran do not understand so does G2(J2) or some other (oh i know they do not want to, for obvious reasons))
