Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Don't take the our voice survey!

If you actually want to hold the “leaders” in this company accountable, consider not taking the survey at all.

Management is heavily pressured to drive survey participation, and leaders are held accountable for the overall participation rate. That means participation itself is a metric they care about.

We’ve taken these surveys before. We’ve provided honest, detailed feedback before. Ask yourself how much of that feedback resulted in meaningful change.

A low participation rate is different. It can’t be polished into a favorable engagement score or buried in a comment summary. If enough employees simply choose not to participate, the lack of participation becomes the message.

You can fill out another survey and hope this time the feedback gets heard.

Or you can decide that declining to participate is your feedback.

Tell a friend.

@d4 Correct. At the urging of their Directors so they can figure out who to put on the layoff list.

Absolutely do not waste your time. Not a single thing happens as result of these stupid surveys. Hit them where it hurts cause they’ll impact their performance by not having their departments complete them and if you get bullied by your boss asking if you completed it, remind them that you don’t have to tell them, be difficult.

LOL, really hitting them where it hurts. If you’d really want them to get the message, they have to continue losing money through stock options failing.

I don't trust it. I've had a manager brag about how they sit around with other managers to figure out who said what by the words used and what they said.

Personally I think they fudged the numbers on the last survey but what do I know.

Even worse, they pressure us to take the survey to give them good ratings so that when you get fired, you cannot complain about management- bs; let them grow nervous by not enough participation

@a6 Didn't we all do that last year? Did it matter? How many times did your leader ask you if you have taken the survey yet? How many emails came out about it? The grander message from not taking it is the unspoken, "We know you don't care." And then let middle managers get bogged down by a whole bunch of meetings discussing why no one is taking the survey. And if they ask you if you've taken it, just lie to their face. That's what they do to us everyday 😆

Both good option. If you do participate, just choose the lowest score possible on all available questions.
