With all the layoffs happening, is anyone still tracking badging? I don’t understand the purpose of going into the office if all they want to do is lay people off.

IBM is doing it to me right now and it's not the bee's knees.
There are quite a few cute women in the Atlanta office... but even that that is not good enough incentive to show up there, just easier to rub one out at home! Lol!

@e7 You know, it. The bee's knees. The cat's meow. Everyone's true raison d'etre and the bane of many a good man. We used to do it on her desk. But now with no one coming in we've done it on just about every desk in the office.

I go to the office regularly because I'm having an affair with my boss. We're pretty open about it because nobody else is there when we do it.
@bt correct. This is a very strategic and calculated move on their part. All of it is. Then want people to leave. They need to reduce head count. If they can get people to leave on their own accord they can avoid bad publicity of an RA action making headlines. Your managers and leadership are very aware that this is the case. They may say one thing to your face but they know the reality behind the scenes

The overall purpose is to make working at IBM so unpalatable that many of us voluntarily quit and forfeit severance.
I am no longer going to the office, they can lay me off if they want.
I have reached the point where I don't fu--ing care what happens, and I do as little as possible.
my manager asked me who is in the office. I answered that I have not seen him. Wrong answer . But if he could check the badges he would to find something wrong.
