Serious question as I am trying to decide if I should resign or stay. Really appreciate insight from those who know and are not speculating.

@dz I suspect you are right. No reason to have a senior principal at EMHC if there aren’t any young engineers at EMHC.
Brothers and Sisters in HC10: It does not matter! In 5 of so years those jobs will all be is Asia (except for Singapore! LOL!)

The only 30+ SPE I have seen was when they first rolled it out and demoted a chief to SPE lol.

Can confirm range from 27-29 - I am a CL 27 principal. It largely depends on the age (oops, sorry, YEE) you get the assignment. If you are on the younger side you will be lower CL as you are not yet eligible for promotion to 28 even with Outstanding performance. As mentioned, SPE is typically up to 31.
This is generally accurate. I don’t believe the CL comes with the title. People get the title then get the CL promotion later or when the advancement guide says so

CLs were decoupled from titles 5-6 years ago. Allows for different (lower) CLs to be hired for the same role
