The language thing is irritating. Speak English at work in US of A. Speak french in France. How is this difficult? Americans in EU take note too.
@br Yes - he breaks into hindi very often, being an Indian, I don't speak / understand hindi, it is odd that he does this often in a professional setting. I hate the MFers who push their language onto others.

The truth is, SA a true Indian nationalist. He and his 3 SVPs mostly speak Hindi at work with each other, it is impossible for an American to be break into product leadership. He can’t hire H1Bs in US, given the cost - his goal is to channel the revenue to India as much as he can.
And that is a fact.
USA based engineering is strong but India based teams have really been driving excellence and there is some deadwood that could be cut. I am a cloud engineer here and really respect the vision and drive of SA
He also hired his best friend's wife as a VP to run devops team in engineering. Complete disaster.
they hire alumni of IIT and mostly through references. They need yes men - no one can question them.
He hired 7 vps, 2 svps, god knows how many senior directors from his own caste or group as PMs and engineering VPs.. unless you are an Indian from Bay Area you can’t be a leader at Teradata.. while no one gets a raise here…
