Hello everyone ! I’m back and I hope you’re all happy and healthy including the negative ones that bad mouth Medtronic.. lol It’s been 4 mos since I got riffed since May 5th and I I’m living the dream but I have to admit I left my heart in Medtronic..I did not have a high paying job or position but honestly I was happy. The only drawback that I hated was getting up at 5 but nevertheless i had a great job with some of the best people I will ever meet in my lifetime. I think that was the best part of my job to be honest with you. They always helped me see the good in everything no matter how bad it was . I would have never known this if i had never worked there . You can call me whatever you want , bootlicker and such but in your face I’m one proud one right here . And if given the chance I would take my job again in a heartbeat . God bless Medtronic❤️

@nw This couldn't be more true. They are living off long past good will and successes while they tear it down. It is not the same place and when asked I always respond with what are your other options!
Remember many people who are complaining here are not doing it out of dislike for Medtronic itself, but remorse over what it used to be and how far the culture has fallen. Many of us would return if we knew new leadership was coming to restore the integrity and judgement of the past.
I really feel some MDT old timers RIF'd, just can not let go of the Mission and work environment they have become so used to. I always feel both happy and sad when I see someone who was rehired after being let go. Imagine giving back the MDT severance package back to just sit in a new cube using your same old skill set amazes me. Money and health benefits and perks can be found at a new company and the Joy of a new adventure.

It's so sad. There are truly amazing people working at the Medtronic and truly believes in the mission. Unfortunately, Medtronic's goal is maximizing profits at all cost. Good luck to you.

Happy to hear something positive. Every company has good and bad. And sometimes being let go is nothing personal.
That being said. You should really try and move on. Things at Medtronic will not be getting better anytime soon. You know your worth is not tied to a company. Just like any breakup: acknowledge the good, learn from the bad, cry , grieve, refocus on yourself. You were and will always be better than Medtronic.
Find what your dreams are outside of Medtronic and go for it. I'm on long term medical leave. And I have to say work is not what is on your mind when you know your time is short.
So from one human to another. Think about your free time and what you would like to do if you only had a month left on planet earth. Good luck 🤞
