Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

For those that did the survey already…

Disclaimer: I will not be doing it.

That said, I am itching to know whether a couple of the old standard questions, and the ones they really got beat up on last year, are even on there anymore.

IE (paraphrasing but these 2 particularly) :

“My company cares about my well being”

“I would recommend AT&T as a great place to work to family and friends”

I'd elected NOT to do the survey because for what? Nothing ever changes and I have seen the arguments about how it isn't tracked and they don't track your responses. So if this is true...then why did my Director get an attitude with me for refusing to do the VOLUNTARY survey....and explaining why...and when I told him if he wanted me to respond honestly then I will need a link that doesn't require me to login...he just walked away. I documented the conversation for future reference so if they try any retaliatory natured antics I am locked and loaded ready to take it to he-l when they decide to go low.

@OP you must be the older generation, time for you to learn the new way to fight. Or it’s time for you to retire

“ Highest ratings from me with generous benefits, competitive compensation, and looking forward to the new work place providing work-life balance”

Your “I’m a contrary troll” schtick is tired and oh so boring at this point. Get a hobby.

Ignore the detractors. Highest ratings from me with generous benefits, competitive compensation, and looking forward to the new work place providing work-life balance

@ah if they followed your vp's direction. They will have to fire about 90 percent of the folks.. those 10 percent are the ones who live in their ivory tower.. I think everyone pretty much blasted them in this survey

I always took the survey and was honest on every response leading up to the new requirement, my position was moved to Dallas and if I wanted to follow the position I was responsible for the move. During the initial review of the survey my VP did a quick fly over, especially where the negative comments and results were recorded. Her response: “ I have a plan for these disgruntled employees and she cackled next. “ Well her plan was to require me to move. This applied to 4 peers as well. None of us moved and all of us were surplused 1 month later. We took the survey seriously and for that candid feedback we out the door.

They are really pushing the mental health stuff. How disingenuous can you be? Forcing pain in the @ss, expensive and pointless commutes, open offices and the constant threats of layoffs and/or relocation are the antithesis of caring about people’s mental health.

Yep those are there. They also added one about compensation. I’m sure those 3 will be hit the hardest.

They will terminate anyone who responds to the survey in negative terms. I'm serious.
