Listening to Emily Elswick discuss her faith this morning and then walk through an entire slide dedicated to her personal travel and work trips was certainly a choice. Given that our MIP was 70%, I’m not sure this was the moment for a personal highlight reel. Also genuinely curious how she ended up in this role. What experience or qualifications actually supported putting her in this position?

She isn’t smart, isn’t strategic, isn’t experienced, isn’t capable but GM likes her so she gets to make bank.
EE is one of the most self-absorbed execs at MDT. When she was in Corporate she was notorius for refusing to meet with others - including VPs and GMs - from across the company, sending her underlings because she was "too busy". But as a sworn "friend of Geoff", zero consequences except a promotion. A presentation focused on her sounds par for the course.
Hard to say if EE really is much better or worse than recent leadership in PH so far. On a positive, she seems genuine and down to earth. Agree with the previous commenter on questioning the selection criteria for the majority of leadership at MDT, though.

She came from Surgical. She’s great and a genuine leader.
