@ck plan is to source from other "PepsiCo" entities that we do not own. Makes total sense financially. More plant shut downs to come.
@jc PES Frontline leader roles are tough roles. Tons of accountability and unlike Merch, delivery, WH, and SDL their is only one and on call 7 days

Merchandise leads/Supervisor/LF SDL is the worst job in the company. Field HR is a close second.
Location-level roles arethe worst situationships you can find yourself in - all of the obligation and commitment none of the payoff.
I've held corporate, division, field, and customer-level roles, so I'll say this without hedging: field is the hardest seat in the building. Highest scrutiny, slowest career momentum, and you are 100% dependent on hourly labor to execute anything.
Meanwhile at Sector/HQ/Strategy, you can roll something out and get promoted off the rollout regardless of whether it was ever feasible at the location level.
HR has so much turn over all they need to do it keep seats open. I don’t blame them for leaving. I’m starting to believe the worst roles at Pepsi are HR and frontline managers. What most of the frontline doesn’t understand is those roles take a beating from both sides. For every good frontline employee there is one that is making their managers and HRs life miserable. Then they get the leadership down their necks. There is always talk about empathy towards the frontline employees but it doesn’t work the other way. They are punching bags with little support.
Guaranteed to be a cluster filling in the gaps.
Production side. Last couple years. Cincinnati, Detroit, Harrisburg, Chicago, one or 2 places on west coast and FL. Latest was Cheverly. Hopefully there is a plan.

@OP when you say HR layoffs, what specific positions?
Savage. I have always believed 90% of the posts on the layoff.com is HR.
