If they're time tracking, then I'm going to time track.
We've had an unspoken agreement in place my entire career and Intel has been rewarded in amazing amounts of unpaid labor and consistently taking on more and more jobs.
But if the agreement is hours-based, my manager is gonna hear a lot more "no" out of me
I heard about the possibility of monitoring badge out. Workers at Intel need to learn to band together. If RTO is so crucial, perhaps working from home outside of work hours is not effective. Also, maybe WFH to prevent spread of sickness should just become one of our unlimited sick days since working in the office is so crucial. They should’ve stopped at 3 days in the office (like Apple) and trusted people to come in for tasks requiring an onsite presence.
@hh communication is much harder because whatever social fabric/hierarchy exists is continually ripped up. Lots of long standing relationships ended. Pros and cons to that. But. It is much harder to figure out what is going on.
Will this get people to answer email? In anyway respond? Not pretend like they didn’t know about something? This is the current Intel culture. If not, then why bother with more RTO.

That's going to make a HUGE difference in productivity and eventually help Intel win back the global leadership in chip design and manufacturing. Intel will be number one in CPU, GPU, and all things PU in the world. The only thing that was standing in the way was the bloody working from home and hybrid work arrangements. Now that these annoying obstacles are out of the way, nothing can stop Intel's AMAZING leadership from succeeding. With their god-given vision, people management, creativity, and innovative approach, they would have already succeeded if only everyone was working from the office. Time has finally come people, time has come!
