This new survey is asking questions specifically about if we are happy with the direction of the company, how often are we using AI ect! This survey is a joke.

@103 That probably scares those that need to be scared. Sounds like they want to quickly fix the ethical issues the managers keep hiding or covering up by spreading the "Straight Five, Stay Alive" lie. My name has been on record for years outside of the survey. They need more people to come out of the shadows.
@e4 they don’t claim it’s anonymous. In pulse surveys dating back over a decade, they all say it’s “confidential” with aggregate responses for leaders with 5+ responses. This year is the first time they also called out that any concerning ethical or policy comments will be the exception, with the submitters name shared with the appropriate teams for follow up.

@ax You can't have it both ways. How was being riffed for your age related to giving negative pulse surveys? You can't make that connection even with T-Mobile's 5G network.
I and many others are negative when it is needed and I am closer to 60 than 50. We are still here and we never kissed the Southern Ring.
I am sorry it happened to you but you were riffed because you were riffed.

My motto for the pulse survey is “strongly agree to stay employee”. It’s not anonymous, they will target you for RIF if negative. Just play the game to stay off the RIF radar.
Anonymous is joke and that is so old too, they should just not say anonymous anymore. VZ can be at least funny honest and say not anonymous. Everyone knows it, just don’t give survey and you will have DM slack.
@c9 yes low participation and low scores ( no matter what the question is) pretty much ONLY hurt your boss. it aint fair,and people dont like it , but the fact remains. if you put low scores you are ONLY hurting your boss and nothing will change
@dh I do not recall posting this an yet here are my words based on personal experience.
The Pulse survey is there just identify the employees that they may or may not have issues with. Don't believe me, wait until the last minute to do it and see how many emails you get about how you haven't done your survey yet??? Odd thing to ask if it is anonymous 🤔
Also, eary on in my employment, I put down a specific negative issue about our AD, and gave an example. During my annual review, I was specifically asked about that question, not in writing of course. I was smart enough to deny any knowledge and now just put in most middle of the road answers since. Pulse is to identify their problem people and to eliminate them, and pat themselves on the back, nothing more, nothing less!
@ar I wonder if failing to vote on anything gets my manager in trouble. He is a good guy, unlike the people above him
At least, Ms. Post-It Notes is no longer with the company to oversee the Pulse Survey and emphasize the best friend at work question.
The survey is a waste of company expense. Talk about waste, fraud & abuse.
Just ignore the survey. They can track it back to you

Go to linkedin, search verizoning starting, then posts and order by latest. I guess we're back to promotion internally

I was brutally honest and will never make that mistake again. I was riff'ed because of my age, the feedback I provided and demonstrated on a call that I can do things manually for the customer to resolve issues faster than AI could.
I was sincerely trying to help, and got riff'ed for my trouble.
Christmas tree everything Positive. Do not add a comment. They know exactly who you are and will target those providing negative feedback for the next RIFs.

spending any time thinking of these worthless pulse survey is waste of time. it is a few questions, answer it and move on with your day.
