Looking back, would you join Factset again? I'm curious whether people feel their time here was worth it.

Definitely under Phil 1.0
Didn’t care as much under Phil 2.0 since I saw the eventual crash going to happen
Glad I got a package and able to leave at the right time.
New management sounds like a disaster
The Sanoke boys ki-led it. Phil slowly let it slide the wrong way. Behind the polite friendly family face, it's all bad communication, sh---y politics, and lower end compensation. FactSet is aiming to crash. I won't cry over it anyway, even after more than 20 years there.
I probably wouldn't do it again with the current leadership and company direction, but it was a great first job right out of college. I felt like I had learned a lot and was given plenty of resources to grow, definitely miss the people here as I felt it really was like a work family.
Expect more reduction shortly. They are planning it
My sense is it's a great place to start and used to be a good place to stay. As a mid-career joiner in the last several years... I should've kept looking. Now I feel trapped with little to show for my time here.
For sure no. I choose FactSet over other offers, and only got to be there 10 months. Planned a move, life. Now I’m back I’m in the technical interview grind time. A lot of repeated work and wasted time for absolutely nothing.

I joined and got laid off within the year so no. now I am stuck with no job and no opportunities
Without a doubt. I no longer work at FactSet (left on my own) but it was a great place to start my career. I learned a lot from really smart people and I wouldn't be where I am in my career today without FactSet. This message board is a lot of doom and gloom, rightfully so given that the broad topic is layoffs, but everyone can agree FactSet is a good place to work relative to other companies. There is a reason the average tenure exceeds the market. However, we can all agree the company has go downhill and it has some issues to solve.
I think so. For the first couple years I was here it was maybe the best place I could have imagined working as someone who didn’t have a ton of work experience at the time I joined. Things went downhill some in the last few but it’s still an objectively decent place to be given the market. But as flexibility starts to tighten and will get worse I anticipate that changing. Will start job hunting soon. And heck if they literally just kept the ability to request for office transfer I would have definitely wanted to keep working here a bit longer.
