People keep leaving with knowledge that took them years to build. A new hire can learn the basics, but they can't suddenly know all the little things an experienced employee picked up over decades. Management seems to think everything can be documented and handed over. I'd like to be a fly on that wall when they realize how untrue that is.

Unfortunately those days are over. They don’t care as long as the work gets done.
