Did they every reach the goal? Were there enough parking spots to reach the goal? Where there ever enough desks to reach the goal?
Maybe they are admitting defeat and no longer pursuing the tax credits?
I think we will see Fiserv filing successive WARNs every few months. This is an ongoing multi-wave headcount reduction program. Curious how they spin this at the Town Hall on Thursday.
@a4 It means 98 employees are covered by that particular WARN notice. It does not mean layoffs stop after those 98.
@a2 Correct. I'm curious what the headcount number is at BH. That'll tell us more if these layoffs threaten the tax incentive. Apparently Fiserv is committed to that site for 11 years and getting tax credit awards for 7 years from the 2021 date.
ELI5. Does this mean 98 more and then layoffs stop or 98 more and layoffs can continue?
Serious question. Didn't the company need to maintain a certain number of warm bodies taxpayers physically in the office in order to get some tax breaks? I'm surprised they can keep firing folks in BH.
