Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Toxic RTO snitches

Be careful with what and with whom you share your personal details related to rto. There are snitches and try hards everywhere, complaining that it’s not fair people leave early, some people they never see come in, one guy left at lunch and didn’t log back in, blah blah. These same people are also submitting suggestions to HR to track ip login time, implement timesheet system, etc.

As a manager, I have had to tell these ICs to chill out, hr is not enforcing to that extent, nor are they privy to people with medical accommodations, personal circumstances, etc. These are usually the people that have been at citi for 10 years plus.

It’s like these folks have nothing better to do with their time other than to invent new ways to make other people miserable.

Nice try! LOL!

Hello, Troll 🧌Fake Poster or Citi HR !

The only way One Person can Badge-In 2 or more employees is if that One person is in physical posession of the others' Employee-ID-Badge.

Since everyone except ypu has a Life, resides in different locations and even US States (e.g. NY, CT, NJ) it's doubtful employees collude, commute, waste time and meet just to hand over their Employee Badge to that one person!

And what if that one person loses someone's Employee Badge ??

Nice try though !

Our team has a badge-in pact where we all let one person badge us all in each day. It rotates each week unless holder misses meet up.

Work smarter not harder.

Let’s face it, if people on the floors are talking about coffee swipers and so on, the executives hear it too. I don’t know if I would call these people snitchers or people that are just worried about what could and most likely will happen if people don’t follow the guidance. We will end up in the office 5 days a week. Go ask some industry peers. I can name a few banks that lost their hybrid approach because of some employees abusing.

I live 45 minutes from the office and my commute is a very long highway. Very busy. When I started. My manager told me it’s ok to leave 10-15 min early if needed

Everyone is protecting Only themselves and protecting their own interests. See the above Link-Article. It's a Jungle out there and Survival of the Fittest. Life is Darwinian.

Your Co-workers, Employers, and Managers are NEVER and NOT your friends. You can be cordial and respectful, but Never once cross the boundaries, NO matter how nice they are to your face!

Coworkers will throw each other under the bus to protect their jobs or jobs they may want in the future. Coworkers will steal ideas, work and solutions from each other, as well as steal credit for work they did Not do or had very little impact on.

Life, work and working are worse than the Hunger Games or the TV show, Squid ! Always watch your back! And always remember, you have Absolutely NO friends or advocates at your job ! Post ID: @10p+1m210q9hj

Yep, I was ratted out by several people in Tampa for not staying all day, including one person I really trusted. Was laid off earlier this year. I found a new role where I don't have to go into an office at all, and am making more than I was at Citi. I am pinching myself every day. It was a long and painful search to find this new role, and hurt my ego to be laid off, but I definitely do not miss the back stabbing "teammates", or the manager who lied to my face many times leading up to my layoff.

I am praying for the RIF of one particular snitch at our site. They took it upon themself to email my manager and ratted me out for not staying for 6+ hours every time I came in. Like they are watching for my arrival every day and hitting a stopwatch. I don't even work in the same division as this je-k.

@at So Kunwar is at least justifying his huge empire at Olympus/Rock like this? But with ED's departure, he is likely worried about his empire

Not sure if the hours are tracked, but the days are. Managers now have access to every employee's attendance on rock/olympus.
Also desktop analytics has been upgraded and being tracked. (On a team level..not individual though)

Worse part is that a lot of these are buddies with management, so they know it will affect others but their buddies will make exceptions for them. I had a bunch of hyenas on my case - all a clique of lazy managers who weren’t even related to my department.

Well said, we have a Karen among us at 388, upper floor (the one with the blinky pantry lights). Her ghost town and hey stranger comments are approppriate but pointy. I'm out by 230 today, yeah.
