When somebody said this round will be just managers, directors, and VPs, I knew it sounded too good to be true. Not only was it not true, so far I haven't heard of a single manager or higher who were affected, at least in my area. And to think, this could have been a useful layoff.

Several valuable people impacted. VPs and Product Managers. Employees with over 25 years dedicated to the company. People who worked overnight and weekends to build what Oracle is now.
I know of 2 M6s, multiple M4's and M5's, among others. There were a ton of higher level management folks RIFd today.
I think they give managers a more graceful way out (IMO). I think they offer them "early retirement" privately. I know of quite a few managers who have "retired".
I know a few vps let go.

I know at least two VPs that were impacted. Just go to LinkedIN and search for Oracle Layoff posts and you will see a number of M4, M5, M6 which were impacted on today’s RIF.
