Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Humana "culture" survey

It is SO important that we complete this and let our voices be heard within SNP.

@kc Threatening employees that if they post on an anonymous layoff forum board?!!! Using fear tactics?!!

C’mon, Humana! You’re better than that! Well, on second thought, perhaps you ate not!

@kc …correction, often the immediate leaders are this issue.

And as to the culling and replacing of those posting here, please cull me, please replace me, Humana!!!

Posted this on the wrong thread, so cross-posting here:

My take is that the 'Culture Survey' has never been 'honest'. It's designed to give the answers they want, and if you try to 'bash' the leadership it only ends up hurting your immediate leader, who is typically not the issue. If the results are bad, they'll just force everyone into these rah-rah sessions that accomplish nothing. They do not want to really hear what the people have to say. If they're REALLY bad, then the result will be to try to find ways to cull those whom they think are generating those responses and replace them with people happy to have a job. I don't trust them, and never have.

My whole team gave low surveys and put all our issues that we could fit anyways in the comments. Things only got worse. They don’t care about these surveys and what we have to say. We are just a number to them.

@az

What positive, concrete changes were implemented based on any prior survey results? Why on earth would you belive it to be different this time?

@a3 I think that’s exactly what it is, I finally realized I have nothing loose. The survey opened my eyes. I knew I wasn’t happy. It’s been difficult for anyone. I think to be happy during this consolidation that’s taken a year and is still a hot mess, but I was trying to be patient. I was trying to tell myself it would get better but the truth is it simply has not gotten better. The utilization review department is very toxic now and that’s concerning taking that review and realizing that I struggled to find anything even remotely positive really open my eyes and I won’t continue to put myself in this situation. I’m starting to look to see what I can do to improve it for myself. I cannot let Humana take away my peace of mind.

@am Agree with this!

To quote Admiral Akbar, “It’s a trap!”

You all simply cannot complain that you all hate your jobs and then the one time a year you actually get to anonymously (Yes, it is anonymous, your leaders cannot see your name) let your feelings be heard, you preemptively say nothing’s going to be done about it, causing the same circular issues every year

Humana Surveys are confidential, not anonymous. If you answer negatively, HR may put a target on your back. Take care...

The fact that they only allow 1200 characters for feedback shows that they want to limit what associates can say.

@a2 Glad you are starting to finally see the light and even speak out a bit.

Unfortunately, much like yourself, most will not until things begin to adversely affect them. It is easy to not speak out when only effecting others but once it effects us, then and only then to we develop a backbone.

I think that is because we finally realize we have nothing to lose so might as well speak out.

I truly do not believe your voice will be heard. No changes are made and when they are, they’re not to benefit us. They’re simply to skew the numbers so that management looks better and I realize that people say they don’t know who does these but if that’s the case, then why is there a unique identifier tied to the survey? I will admit this was the least positive I’ve ever filled this out. Everything was neutral or disagree and that actually felt bad not for Humana but because I’ve stayed went very obviously I’m not happy anymore after the UM department decided to consolidate and do it in such a manner that makes no sense to anyone and continues, after one full year, to still be as confusing as it was on day one
