Quarterly results were good but still stock price didn’t go up. Layoffs will happen when market sentiment improves and Oracle will trade off human capital against stock gains.
They will hire again as they need to deliver.
They can always hire cheap and train on repetitive process. New hire will always put extra hours and will try to prove as much as possible.

What a garbage, it has already started.
this post is bs, starting now, affected
Makes no sense as the layoffs were planned in advance without connection to results. Stop pumping the stock up.
Investors are also concerned about mass layoffs, I saw few posts in other platforms they know if Oracle keep laying off staff like this it will impact quality and customer satisfaction and it's hard to retain customers.
The layoffs aren't tied to earnings they are tied to debt. Oracle has a huge future liability and an uncertain income stream to payoff those bets. Getting rid of expensive employees early helps prepare for the future.
@a4 for HR posting here, I assume you refer to that crazy ex who still can’t get past being dumped a year ago.
It’s a nice theory but HR posted here 17k by 6am email
Huh? Why wait for the market? You're trying to cut costs to prove the balance sheet. How long do you wait? 1 day, 1 week. Another year?
Ô don't have time to waste. Aside from unions and the minimum legal requirements, they will strip people out. Simple commercial decision...
