Has anyone else reached the point where they're applying to basically anything just hoping something sticks? I've sent out 146 resumes and I know I have the skills, so I don't understand why nothing is happening.

It’s an abysmal market right now for everyone. Between corporation’s insatiable greed and AI advancements, the turnaround time for a new job is closer to 12-18 months.
i have been applying since july; still nothing.
Every job I’ve gotten, including internal transfers, was due to networking. Be sure you are not just relying on sending resumes around.
Very few job postings actually intend to hire. Many people are actively looking for work, employed or not. Good old supply and demand mismatch. There are jobs, but the employers can be very selective these days. Few well researched applications with referrals will likely get you interviews than the number game. You know this already and I get your frustration OP.
Plenty white male in 20 and colored female with accent are struggling as well. You did this A9. But you are not on the chopping block, so good for you.
How long have you been looking?
It was worse if you were a white male over 50 two years ago. At least companies are giving you a second look these days.
Hopefully Trump will continue to pressure/incentivize business to not hire h1bs. Maybe in a couple of years we wont have to work with incompetent imports any longer.
