So bc our area has the space we get to slog into Boston with our costly commute while other areas that likely cost less to commute get to wfh?!?
How does that build collaboration knowing some of your colleagues sets up a phone meeting just as you would like to leave for your commute all the while they’re sitting on their 🫏 at home with NO COMMUTE?!!!
How is THAT not a hostile work environment?!?

@gt honestly I believe this. I’ve been researching how much corporate America has taken advantage of Native American and it makes me sick.

@gt actually once word started to spread that was happening, associates from all different sites started speaking up about it. That + increase in office time is why they turned commenting off on Fidelity central

sharing and get paid 15% less than our counterparts in other parts of the country. And NOT... 1.... PERSON... SAYS...A THING...They don't care if you have a degree... experience... a license... so much for DEI, etc.. way to keep the brown person down.

Unfortunately, yes. Some sites have room to push this nonsense forward so you all are the test subjects, while they figure out ways to jam the rest of us into our offices.
Please know many us of feel terrible for our peers who are going through it first and are stressing out about when our time will be announced.

I think it's comical when you hear Abby and senior management talk about WFH, "we're adding better cafeteria experiences" and other non-sense like that thinking that is the core of why people are resisting WFH.
I have never witnessed morale as low as it is now. Everything that made Fidelity appealing has disappeared so no real reason not to jump ship to a higher paying public competitor.
not everyone has to work in office in boston - for example, boston dev ops has a wfh exception
don't worry, it won't be long before everyone is back in the office full time to collaborate on zoom calls. They just haven't figured out how to make it happen across all sites yet.
