Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike's next earnings report is schduled to be released on Oct 1st

Any bad guidance during the call will firmly put the stock in the $20s.
The result is already baked into the current stock price.

Let's pray, because if the guidance is bad then it will follow up by layoffs

I’ve NEVER seen the earnings report come out this late. Q1 ended Aug 31. They need more time to spin the sh---y story.

EH telling Wall Street to stop asking for quarter to quarter progress two years into his tenure was wild. What CEO speaks like that? Try telling your VP to stop rating you annually because you’re positioning your work for the next decade.

Layoffs are going to happen regardless of what is reported. Nike is not a growth company.

Tuesday’s shareholder’s meeting told us everything we needed to know about October earning. Just listen to the way EH is framing Nike’s future. Look at the dearth of exciting product since Vomero 18. And smell the scent of shrinking profit margins all around you.

I'm pretty sure unless the news is truly terrible, any declines are already priced into the stock. The main thing driving the drift downward is algorithmic trading from indexes managing S&P 100, as those indexes sell off, the price is going to go down regardless of other factors

Let's keep it real.

Good or bad guidance there will be layoffs. Hopefully, not to tech again, but who knows.
