micromanaged after FMLA leave ! Noticing a pattern.
So at my current BOfa job I was under some stress at home and at work and decided to take some intermittent FMLA time for stress. After 6 years of getting Meets or exceeds ratings when the Mid year rolled around in July and I was given a Partial Meets. Part of it was due to not meeting the in office day requirements vs remote days . I got dinged there.
Boss mentions that she was given an option to give me a PIP or monthly follow up meetings . She had understanding of my situation and felt I could get back to more productivity so I was told we would do monthly follow ups.
I started to notice I was given feedback like your completing the work but require follow up, Or your completing the job but these are the easier tasks. Or you are not completing things as fast as we want. This is due to being out on an FMLA day.
I'm also asked to submit summaries of How I plan to do individual assignments to the boss, something I never had to do in all these years.
Does this mean there is something going on here? If its no the dreaded PIP why is there this sort of scrutiny? Anyone else experience something similar?

They want to replace you with an h1b or someones wife (h4ead). Sorry mate.
Find a way to work from home so you don’t have to always say you are using fmla to take a break you can just take one if you need it, it is helpful to not have the pressure in person
Don’t spend any of your time doing those stupid extra task & write ups, use that time during your work day to find a new job. This place su-ks. On to the next!
This bank has been doing this performance you out cr-p for years. They usually start to micromanage you for no reason. Then they start with the written and final warning bulshlit. I would document everything and file a complaint with EEOC. THIS BANK HAS BEEN SUED FOR MILLIONS FOR DISCRIMINATION IN THE PAST .
Definitely got treated different after parental leave. Good work projects dried up ( which was ok for me, don’t gaf about corp climbing) but the worst part was getting reminded every other week by my boss that I took time off for leave and that I might not be so interested in getting promoted because of new baby. Wtf ?! I mean let’s talk work at work and not bring up private stuff???
It's an indicator that you're on their radar to potentially be either laid off or fired.
Sounds like your boss is being pressured to put you on a PIP, but advocated for you to receive the "lesser of 2 evils" which = all of this new justification you're being required to submit re: how fast/well you can complete tasks.
Once they start in on this sort of thing, it's usually only a matter of time before they decide you're "not measuring up" and they tell you to hit the road.
You said you were stressed partially by this job enough that you took FMLA, so take that as a sign that you should get serious about a job hunt NOW. It would've made sense to use some of that leave time to find another job, but it is what it is, so just get started on it right now.
Spend a couple of hours every day before/after work looking for a new job. It will give you hope for a better future, as you're going though this gauntlet your boss and their boss/es are now putting you through. And chances are, you'll get a better offer some place new, where you won't have people breathing down your neck, and for more money!
