Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Looking for candid insight on Humana's depts, leaders, and team culture

I've had several interviews for different roles within humana and my experience so far have varied quite a bit. Some conversations were extremely positive while others raised concerns about the leadership style and team dynamics. I was recently offered a position but decided not to move forward because of the nature of the role and it didn't feel like a good fit for me and some of the initial interactions I had during the interviewing process with some of the leadership. Some of the negative comments actually came from a few of the direct reports regarding their leader!
The last things I need is to leave a somewhat stable situation only to find out that I've stepped into a toxic environment I would regret. I would appreciate advice from anyone who have experience or insight across different areas of the company. Are there particular departments, teams, managers that you would recommend approaching cautiously? Conversely, are there areas known for strong leadership and healthy team culture?

@OP honestly in this day and age I would not come here. It’s not just Humana. Things are just such an upheaval right now with healthcare and AI and changes through the government. If you’re in a stable position and you enjoy your work, I certainly would not make this as a leap of faith and it’s going to be better because it won’t be Humana going through too many changes right now. Does that mean in the past they weren’t a good company of course it doesn’t. They have been a very good company. Does that mean in the future? They won’t be a good company no, of course not as upset as I am with all of the changes right now Humana eventually will be a good company again but right now it’s not and unless you enjoy changing chaos I would stay where you are

Depends, it's a people run business. Where you might like your leader and thrive, someone else might not like that same leader and thrive. The hardest career is sales, there's no grace but plenty of opportunity for the right fit. If it's a lateral move to become more well rounded, do it. If it's an upward move, do it. You control your narrative and don't go by hearsay, only you know your true work ethic and commitment. Sometimes people ask too many questions and based on what they're told, will stay in their own comfort zone. Be bold and grow.
