Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

I've lost all motivation

I don't care about the comapmy
I don't care about kpi's
I don't care about Q2 Q4 goals
I don't care about projects
I don't care about putting in any effort
I've truely given up and skating by

This company has su-ked out my humanity & left me underpaid & overworked
When all you get is a 'thank you'
All I can say is fu-k you

A good movie to re-watch is 1984.

Doublegood. DoublePIP.

@af

sounds like its time to knock that boot out of your mouth. maybe scrape a few layers of shoe polish off your teeth, while you are at it.

@a9 it's proven the fastest way to destroy a business is through nepotism

Nepotism doesn’t just reward the wrong people—it teaches the right people that merit no longer matters. That is how companies lose talent, trust, and eventually their future.

Nepotism can erode employee morale, trust, management quality, creativity, and ultimately company performance.

Think about this if you consider hiring your buddy Joe Blo's brother, mother or spouse or children.

honestly though, this is how you will likely feel anywhere. at the end of the day they're all just jobs to pay the bills.

@a6 You nailed it. Cisco (along with many other IT companies) have adopted the 'Friends and Family' hiring process. Not the best candidates are often hired these days at Cisco, nor are the weakest performers laid off in their bi-annual (quickly approaching quarterly) layoffs. Many people are looking to leave (if and when possible these days). Outsourcing has usually never worked in the long run in most cases.

@OP same for me. I actually don’t mind the work but hate hate hate the disgusting politics, and for the first time in my life I feel being racially discriminated by the dominant ethnic group in the company!

They promoted people in their tribe although they had explicitly told me I would be the first to be promoted. Manipulated and dishonest leaders!
