Anyone moved their family to Dallas this year or last to save their job? How are you adjusting to new life?

It does not matter though if you are going to lose your job soon after relocation. How do you make payments then?
@ar BS or not.. Many people who relocated to the DFW area have been laid off. It is not a rumor, it is simple math. At&t cannot hit labor targets by shuttering every non dfw based site. If you move, keep in mind that you are moving with a company that is still aggressively reducing labor.
Ask yourself, is att moving me because I'm the best or because I'm a body? If it is the former, why aren't they compensating? If its the latter, plan for a bumpy ride. To reiterate the common theme, if you can't find a job that will pay you what att pays you, if you are under-skilled, undereducated, or overcompensated, you are layoff fodder. Being in Dallas won't change that.
Look at these comments. Morale is low. Workspace is a commodity. Many drive hours just to crouch in what is essentially a huge, germ-infested waiting room. Do we really believe att values us?
When I first moved to Texas, I heard it was a nothing but a sun-baked, wind-swept, snake infested h-ll hole.
Since I’ve been here a while, I’ve determined that statement was not entirely true, as I’ve yet to see a single snake!
