A few months ago there was a report that Centene was partnering with Cognizant for AI tech enabled processes. This partnership would bring about $5 billion in revenue to Cognizant, while saving Centene a ton of money by not having staff. I started doing some research on this company and was shocked at how many times they have been sued by their own employees in the last 5 years. It seems like this company wants all of the US work it can get but refuses to have US employees, and if they do have them, they discriminate until they are sued. Today, this article came out regarding Cognizant's PERM filings are suspending pending a fraud investigation regarding HB1 Visa's and other PERM filings. This investigation based on Whistleblower complaints. Centene laid off thousands of American's to partner with a company who allegedly treats their American staff like cr-p??? Is that why Cognizant works so hard to make their Indian born staff become US Citizens, so then they can legally say they had US staff? I am all for equality and work with some amazing people from many diverse backgrounds, but it seems like Centene wants to replace their staff with AI and a vendor who prefers to hire non American's ....allegedly!!!! Very sad ☹️

They've already started collecting our workflows and asking us questions. I've been in the meetings for a couple weeks.
And Cognizant made sure to release the $500M Centene deal before their earnings statement, and before Centene had a chance to make their own release. Their stock jumped significantly after the release. 🤔
I’m sure that went over well. That SHOULD have been a dealbreaker, but hey CHEAP LABOR and a machine that does work and doesn’t need benefits. I would’ve loved to to be a fly on the wall when leadership got that news. 😂
Cognizant has been scamming for a long time . They need to check how many people came into the USA in L1 during the 100k rule was passed. They charge a min of 40 dollars per hour for an offshore location worker and it's basically 40 * 160 =6,400 per month but they would pay the offshore location guy 400 dollars per month . They have been scamming for decades now and exploiting in all directions
@d0 The terms for this are: "sui-idal empathy". It truly is a crazy concept that we're seeing out in the open freely.
Allowing immigration only makes rational sense if the immigrants share the same values as you and do not see you as an enemy, disposable, or someone "to convert to their way".
Otherwise, its like leaving your front door wide open and praying nobody steals from you? Its absolutely wild.
The investigation does not go far enough. Cognizant should have all it's worker related visas suspended. They have been caught abusing B1 visas in the past. Don't get me started on their use of L1 and H1B.
@cr There are a lot of folks out there that think we all just need to completely trust and received everyone with open arms, without first vetting them, and naively think that there is not inherent very bad actors in the world that do not care for Americans and would want to do us harm. Which is precisely why an upcoming anniversary for a past sad event is soon upon us.
American companies hate American workers so much they will dig a tunnel from St. Louis to Canada / Mexico and mule workers back and forth to avoid hiring us.
Cognizant just got hit with fraud investigation. CNC sold out it's staff for cheap out of country labor and their deal is going belly up. Good, hopefully everyone files tips / complaints with dept of labor and comments in favor of the 100k fee for H1b. CNC practically bragging about circumventing H1b labor regulations by using a staffing company....then that company gets hit with fraud investigation.
@ag And that is the whole reason why we have a long vetting process for those desiring to immigrate legally to America. Why people do not get that, I do not know.
And the vetting process is also to do background checks to protect us for even far worse things, which I don’t dare mention, lest the forum administrators use that as an excuse to delete this thread.
Allowing people to enter in a different non-vetted fast track way into America is irresponsible, and extremely risky.
And it has nothing to do with race. A white Australian person desiring to immigrate to America should be vetted just the same.
Just imagine. One of the scam capitals of the world that call and fool people into buying gift cards and sending the identifiers to them is now taking over US data systems and having access to all of that sensitive information.
What could possibly go wrong?
Would love to see the graph of number of confirmed or attempted call scams from India versus number of Indian IT workers working on American systems.
The graph is probably going to have a strong positive correlation.
