Do we have to stay til march 15th to get our bonus? Or is that just the payout date?

@fw Wrong. They have to pay you what you earned through your earned date. Discretionary bonus and stock awards can be taken away but formulaic bonus has to be paid out.
Geniuses- You must be an employee in good standing at the time of the payout. If you leave before 3/15, bye bye bonus.
Technically you’re entitled to whatever you earned through the “earned date”. So if you comp year ends on 12/31 you could think that you’ll be paid out in March even if you resign on 12/31. But don’t count on that. It is a LONG 75 days and they could (and will) come up with reasons to reduce your bonus, especially if it’s discretionary. Not sure what your job is but most employers recognize the need to stay through bonus pay date in spring.
