I’ve been seeing posts from various L and D team members bragging about how great this year’s MoL was.
I thought it was just the same old junk as in previous years.

Month of learning is organized by the incompetent for the lazy.
The incompetent tell us how important it is to develop people and that the company is investing in us, while delivering slop. It is not development to have a one hour session on continuous improvement or AI without giving people resources and meat on those topics. It is surface level stuff and thinking people see through it all.
The lazy attend the sessions. Notice that the same people show up to many of them. They know it gives them an excuse to sit in a room for an hour without being accountable for how that time was used.
