Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Worst Managers at WF

Previously, we had a Manager who failed to manage effectively and merely offered praise to the 'assistant' manager on the team, who contributed very little. Now, we have a manager who focuses on overseeing the fonts we use in our emails. Wells Fargo really knows what they are doing.

You must be in Finance. CT is not a complete id--t but he cares more about fonts and himself than content.

Any mgr that doesn't do exactly what they are told is terminated for cause, so it's not a surprise that that's the only kind of manager you see anymore. All real authority has been centralized to the OC.

Wells Fargo has way too many bad managers, and this is exactly why. The manager on our ground and the assistant manager got displaced along with the entire site. Zero leadership, terrible management, and favoritism toward a handful of people who knew how to su-k up. They ran the whole department into the ground.

The place was toxic, and honestly, I’m glad I’m no longer there. Fresh start. New job. New energy. And I’m loving it so far. Comparing the culture and leadership now to what I dealt with there? It’s a completely different game. Sometimes getting pushed out is the best thing that can happen to you.

Most of the really good managers are now gone. Many via retirement. Left are a bunch of mindless minions who just do what they're told.

Wow- our manager micromanages emails and fonts too. I guess this is something across the company. Her biggest accomplishment is a standard email template.

@OP My manager mainly hides and forwards emails from his higher ups with a comment .’this is what you are required to do now’. I never have heard him come up with an idea that benefits our team. He lets his favorites come in late or leave early ‘because they have family issues’. Gets paid 180k basically to warm a chair. He does not contribute or add anything. It’s obvious that some are taking advantage of his lack of management but they still get a meets.
