IT vendor partners(I dont want to mention name but every one knows) are providing very low quality resources and putting more pressure on VZ resources. Look at the quality of the people please do not look at the quantity. Raised concerns in multiple forums but no action taken. Hope this will change very soon.

A VP recently said they love Dan because he’s running the company like a bank. The only thing that matters right now is getting to enough cash to buy stocks back and increase dividends on a 5-10 year commitment…by any means possible. If employees don’t create that cash flow, we will be eliminated.
IT farmed out to the lowest bidder, what did they expect? Or just maybe, they don’t care…
And thats one of the reasons our churn is on the up. Customers place an order for a service and three months later its still in-flight because the systems dont support the product. And the people who could progress it outside the systems were let go. Therefore its left with the IT people to fix the systems, who just havent got a clue. Customer gets fed up and goes with a competitor.
They don’t care. It’s all bean counters looking at numbers.
This will stop only if they control the "empire" building tactics top leaders do, they define importance by the quantity of people they have in addition to some kickbacks some might have gotten throughout the years. with the recent cuts in N&T we can only hope.
This is happening everywhere in large corporations.
The C-suite and xVPs don't care. They get judged on the stock and get their bonuses accordingly. Quality products are of no concern. Until there is a lawsuit that forces them to significantly lower their bonuses or directly tanks the stock that is directly related to the quality of the work, linking it to the IT vendors, it will never be solved.
It's an unfortunate reality of the McKinsey et. al. labor arbitrage/cost cutting playbook that all MBAs and CxO/xVPs talk about at golf at the country club. They are not creative and increasing revenue to effect their profit is too hard for them and they have less control of it.
