Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

So long, farewell Nike

BREAKING: Nike is set to be removed from the S&P 100 after nearly 18 years.

The stock is now down almost 80% from its 2021 peak, turning one of the market’s most iconic consumer brands into one of its biggest recent disappointments.

There’s a sad sort of clanging
From the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple, too;
And up in the nurs’ry
An absurd little bird
Is popping out to say “coo-coo.”
(Coo-coo, coo-coo.)
Regretfully they tell us
But firmly they compel us
To say goodbye to you . . .
So long, farewell,
Auf Wiedersehen, good night.

Layoffs incoming again.

I didn't even know there was an SPX100.
SPX500 is the deal.

Personal hunch is that Nike is being kept low for accumulation and then there'll be a bit of news and Wall Street will take it's foot off the ticker and let it go again. Bounce at $30ish.

Unfortunately Nike is just not part of anyone’s “These are a few of my favorite things” list…
