There are hundreds of new job openings in Mumbai & Maharashtra. Tons in the Pune Division poster just a week ago. Many of these positions where once key positions in Charlotte, Jacksonville, and Denver. There is no question now that there will new rounds of potentially unexpected layoffs. With health care costs going way up, it’s just a matter of time before the next announcement. Now it is becoming even more apparent how foolish the Frisco Fiasco has become. The focus turns to India & thr e Schroders Bail Out. $14 Billion dollars worth. Time to dust off your resumé

@1gp right by the big picture is that TIAA W-2 employees in the United States are being outsourced to India and Accenture. You can call it TIAA India, or India Accenture, but the reality is Americans in the United States, hard working loyal employees who are W2 employees are losing their jobs to contractors, scabs, clowns in India.
@1ev They move away from FTE's in Inidia. Accenture are all CW's and don't count againt TIAA's employees in India.
It wouldn't surprise me if we had more CW's then TIAA Employees globally.

@dj i’ve heard the indian based product owners are being paid $40K all in. US based is ~$150K + benefits. Healthcare + Retirement tacks on $25K more.
Washington, DC needs to do something about all these job losses to India, Pakistan, Phillipeenis, & Sri Lanka.
A 30%-40% charge on foreign labor is needed to save American jobs & level the playing field.
I have seen a few Product Owner roles posted for the India office to handle things that were always US based roles. Leads me to think that there’s no way they’d have a PO in India handling stuff that needs to be done during US hours…unless the goal is to move the entirety of that team to India. This really stood out
