Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Top performer for 5 years, got a meets rating

I delivered major projects, traveled, participated in workshops. Meanwhile, newer hires with 5-6 years experience are paid more than me and I have to train them. How is that okay?

They don't like external hires. This is fact, not an opinion. They took what they needed (your external views and help) but now ready for more same old same old. Move on. It's the Exxon way (brainwashed from college) or bust.

This is pretty much standard corporate America now. You pretty much need to move to a different job every 2-4 years to not get underpaid.

Just update your resume and leave for 15%+ at another opportunity.

Just like, uncon/americas especially what’s left of east Tex and Ardmore spending. Groups like CX and safety that just spend more while just pushing paper. All the middle management. Just think if oil was below 40 bucks!

The current MC and executives are the ones that oversaw the current bloat they are trying to reduce. No accountability for them being poor operators.

This is the way. The Exxon way. Many of us experiencing the same treatment. There is no loyalty or credit for what you have delivered. They decide each year if they think they like you. It doesn’t even have anything to do with what you deliver, just popularity with your supervisor.
