In the past when there were layoffs in October, layoffs would happen the first Tuesday of the month. In that scenario what was the end date? was it month end (10/30) or was it 12/31? or did it depend on whether they needed you to finish up the year end work? was bonus prorated or did you get the whole thing? could you accelerate your end date?

Way back when it depended on the needs of that department as to what the end date was.
