Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I don't know what we all did wrong to make the executives hate us so much.

When is the next lockout? As company profits and executive compensation soars the workers just keep getting squeezed

Ask Beaumont when the next lockout will be.

I used to love shopping for vinyl records. The quality is great but they are high maintenance and expensive. I can get an mp3 for pennies on the dollar, even pay a small subscription fee for however many I want to listen to. The quality is markedly worse, but the price/convenience makes it worth it to me.

That's us...we're the Vinyl Records, pay no attention to the humanity in this scenario...that's not even part of the equation. And we do the same...I'm not paying 10x more for a guaranteed cruelty free Smartphone, diamond, etc. I'll accept a little child labor if the price is right.

Amazing that managers are able to do this to employees.

I know of one Supervisor that quit when she was instructed to wrongfully give NSI to a direct report and one Manager the announced in a meeting that he wrote his Notice of Retirement within 15 minutes of reading the PIP list because he knew it was a layoff in disguise unrelated to any poor performance.

@a8 do it, or be the next PIP, you’re spot on

Everyone except DW has a boss

Digustingly inhumane.

@a8 feels pretty damn personal to those of us who are impacted. There must be a way to build the business without firing everyone. Why can’t we get into the data center game or lithium game?

Nothing personal. When bonuses are based on PIP/layoffs and transitioning work to people that work for 1/10 salary, then you do what it takes to earn the bonus.
