How is FIS getting around filing WARN notices in states with all these rounds of layoffs? I know there're legal issues in Washington state after layoffs last year but I am amazed that no WARN notices have been filed this year (Wisconsin). It seems the March & June layoffs should met the requirements for a state notification. Anyone know more about how they are getting around this?

Since they are "rebadging" employees they don't have to file WARN notices
@OP It sure would be nice to see the numbers of employees rebadged and laid off over the past two years. The way these events are being handled raises a lot of questions such as this one regarding WARN requirements. What is the end game? I am glad I am done - the worry is over for me, but I do feel for those who still need a job in this tough market.
In the 2025 rounds of layoffs, they probably did more head chopping than 2026 but they were done monthly and below legal threshholds per location.
I believe by paying the severance they get around the WARN requirements. This counts towards the 60 day notice required.
