@OP while the base salary might be lower for mexico, when you add the total perks it is similar or slightly exceeds the number for a US based role. Speaking from personal experience playing Hr role in both regions

Athina will use the AI card both as a carrot and the stick to get to the top. Ruthless and manipulative, I know first hand. I guess the street is happy with the dividends, because the stock is a dog. My LTIs are all underwater. Glad I took my pension in cash and bought NVDA. FU money now.

Those benefits are correct. BUT…..

The thing you are overlooking is that their salary is about 40% of someone in the US. Even with those benefits, they are still significantly less to employe. You are talking a 50% savings still.

What you should actually be arguing is the insourcing to India. There is massive employment churn and that results in a continued lack of competency. While there are good people there, Pepsi absolutely does not train them well and does not pay them enough to want to say in their roles. “Productivity” plays from leadership have just been levers leadership has used to make the street happy in the short term. Unfortunately, the lack of long term thinking and placating to Wall Street has been the real downfall of the organizations success. Instead of fundamentally operating efficiently, they have continually taking pricing and other actions that impacted our consumers. 2026 has been the first year they have had to actually adjust their strategy in the US. What is ludicrous is that they have known about these issues for 15 years. Especially in the past 3-4 years, they had MANY opportunities to address fundamental problems.

This is also why you are seeing the “global” push. Leadership has found success in global initiatives which in turn keeps the street at bay. This has come at the cost of business in the US.

But take my hot air for what it is, just an old dog barking. I am retiring as soon as they start offering packages.

My advice, learn your role, capitalize on that to propel you to a better role, even if it is outside the company. Focus on your self, be kind to others. Have a very clear exit plan in the event Athina actually becomes CEO. I have worked for or with all of the leadership, she is intelligent and politically aware, incredible manipulative and still incompetent of how the business actually operates. I’ve put a lot of blood an sweat in and still care about the people doing the work here. Ramon will be here for a while, but when change comes, someone like Ram needs to be leading. I’m continually impressed by his knowledge base, financial understanding and, more importantly, his broad understanding of how the business works in the US and globally.

Best of luck to you all.
