What does “under secondary review” typically mean. Will it just sit there until it inevitably goes away, or does that status actually mean something in Philips 66 hiring process. Thanks for any insight!

@ez the culture in O&G is eroding fast. The same consultants (BCG) are advising many management teams in the area of culture, talent development, and employee experience. It is cultural rot and the ideas are rooted in equality and socialism. People are cogs in a system except at the top where leadership should be revered. It will pass but the soul of many great companies has been lost. My recommendation would be to find a smaller company with more entrepreneurial spirit. There is more money to be made there anyway.
@b0 definitely understand that sentiment. I am actually currently at another very large O&G company with a similar culture you describe.
Wasn’t sure how it was over here, but there were a few opportunities matching my experience so figured I would throw my hat in.
My advice: run the other way. Find another opportunity. Phillips pays well and has good benefits but it is in line with other companies in the industry and the culture is failing fast. Great place if you just want to sit around and still get paid. Hustle is met rewarded.
Your status will update to "Interview stage" if the hiring manager decides to move forward. Phillips 66 has one of the most frustrating hiring processes I've ever experienced. Frankie will prompt you to submit a few short video responses, and you can expect a lot of behavioral, STAR-method questions. Best of luck!
Often it means it has gone to the hiring manager. It's passed the recruiter/talent acquisition and is still in the mix.
Means what it says. You Don't want no longer considered. Its a process for sure. Keep an eye out on your spam folder as well. It can be a little nerve racking. Good luck.
