@fx Exactly. But but only that, they also added some custom instructions, which makes regular non Apple software incompatible.
Unless you want to be permanently locked in into their ecosystem and have the daddy to tell you what you need to do, Apple products are literally the worst you could ever find, with 5x-10x overpriced price tag.

Apple didn't design anything, they just Licensed a stable RISC platform with ARM and then fine tuned it to their software stack, and remember they don't manufacture anything they design using others IP and mfg. TSMC, Amcor, Foxconn.
Be aware !!! Your manager can remotely hack and allow to see what you are doing on your laptop. It is un stable for a reason OP.

Buy a regular laptop, just not Intel (I e. Amd) and put Linux on it.
You still use unstable laptop with shitTel inside OP? Apple abandoned them a long time ago to come up with its own M chips. Go buy an Apple laptop for the sake of your non technical id--t if you are still working at this sh-t place using sh---y products because of lack of testing to save cost and bump up the price.
