My crazy theory is EH has orders to make the company smaller and more “lean”. His orders from PHK and the board is to make Nike 1995 again. Before China.
Once the company is small. Wait a year and say in your reports the company has “grown” from the previous year.

Regardless of whether he’s doing this intentionally or not (my guess is not), he’s doing a terrible job and should be fired.

EH is bringing back the company to the way it was pre JD. Removal of wellness week, focus back on wholesale, closure of small format stores. He’s not building off of JD strategy, he’s bringing back Nike to the way it was before he left the first time around.
@OP why would he ruin his legacy to do that? Yes he never became his CEO in his first run but left with a great reputation.
Also yes he is making an insane amount of money but he had already made enough to never worry about it.
If they wanted to some to gut the company they could have just brought in any random corporate executive either an MBA and told him “your job is to make us fail”.
