Conestoga College has laid off an additional 32 full-time professors. This latest round of job reductions follows hundreds of previous layoffs since 2025. The college cited a significant decline in international student enrollment as the primary reason for these difficult but necessary cuts. Faculty members will continue to work and receive pay for 90 days following their layoff notices. The union expressed concerns about a lack of transparency regarding future employment security.
